Sure Alien can get tons of damage if he spends 2-3 bars. That's TYM for you, though. If it helps one's agenda, resources do not matter.

Edit: Also, Reptile can get 38% meterless and well over 42% for two bars midcreen, in Noxious.

Not that it matters since you wouldn't ever want to dump 2 bars into less than 10%, but I know that that's your logic with Alien, that you're using just for argument's sake.

Why do you place scorpion as high as you do? I feel he is too high. Speaking ninjutsu, his mix up game is pretty shallow and very unsafe. If he is played purely safe across the board his pressure is not nearly on par with others in the tier. His space control is fantastic, but once he commits to a string (b2/f2) he hands his turn over and is subject to people with strong advancing strings (Jax, Cassie, Kotal, Alien, D'vo, Kano, Cage, etc. etc.). I think his perceived strength is still benefiting from his 'recent' buffs.

Why do you consider Jacqui to be so low? Her corner set play, amazing pressure (good for dealing with a lot of the high tiers: takeda/alien esp.) and good space control (walk speed, shotguns, FA, even high tech can get around zoning) seems on par with a lot of other characters.

Cassie also seems high in my opinion because a lot of the things she used to do amazingly got toned down and now her pressure feels like a poor man's Jax. both have 6f highs, but jax has more + options, better armor options, tick throws/rocket cancels, etc. I don't know that she shines as much as she did before.

In my eyes D'vorah breaks the game just like JC or Alien. Her pressure is relentless, her one weak point is not having an armored launcher.

Edit: Dvorah, Alien, JC and Mileena should all share tier, they have tools that no other characters have

Derptile, remove the - of Liu Kang. He's A+ for sure - Dragon's Fire is still very strong and Flame Fist got a huge buff that was everybody being nerfed.

The only 2 I don't agree on is kitana and goro. I feel like we haven't seen goro represented to maybe his full potential especially since the XL patch. So I wouldn't exactly say he's B but kitana at B is a sin to me lol. I think kitana is A. Like definitely a solid A. I wouldn't say A+ or B+

Tbh I just mentally block out all of the low Reptile placements.

That character is in no way two tiers lower than the best. A bunch of people know that, but the consensus is just so misinformed.

It's gonna be one of those things where later on in the game, Reptile is gonna be going nuts on people, and the Reptile players will say "he was always like this".

"His midscreen damage bro. It doesn't matter that everyone else got nerfed and he does more than Alien. It still makes him bad."

Edit: I'm not downplaying Alien, i'm just saying that characters can be good with bad midscreen damage. Alien is supposed to be the best and he does less than Reptile.

You know you downplay Alien when you have to provide a disclaimer that you're not downplaying (this time).

Quality of life improvements

- Moving Kenshi to A tier, Kenjutsu is fine
- Sonya can stay S tier, I was wrong lol
- Triborg has the (?) removed from him, I think A tier is fine.
- Jason now has a (+), he's dumb
- And all ya'll Sub-Zero downplayers can go home, A+ is fine.

I'd actually put this one way above that Russian one in terms of shiteness.

It's almost admirable how one can make a tier list this bad.

Don't you guys think that Mileena is S+ Tier? I think that piercing does not have weakness and her strenghts super strong.

It's fine for a char to not have a weakness but all other tools must not be soo strong. If she has no weakness, then give her medium tools, medium pokes, medium zoning, medium damage, medium pressure. But for mileena it's different - 6 frame poke, she hits like a truck, good pressure, she has like the best zoning and counter zoning, amazing footsies, her roll ball is super strong because it low profiles, it's a very good AA, it destroys OKI and she gets very good damage off it...

Edit: Before someone else comes in here and says the same thing I wanna address this. A tier list based on MUs would require having multiple character experts give their inputs on each of their respective character's MUs. Now while this would be ideal it's probably not gonna happen since high level players don't really come to TYM for a deep discussion about their characters strengths and weaknesses (outside of a few like Pig, REO, Tom, etc.). So this is gonna remain a pipe dream for now.

Another thing that could happen would be for TYM to have a MU chart like EventHubs where everyone can give their opinion for each character. But then we wouldn't have threads like these , and then there's the problem of Cage players making him go 5-5 at best with the whole cast..

She's really good, but she doesn't break the game -- which is what S+ is reserved for.
