Unlike Capcom, who had problems with MvC3 (lack of updates) and SFxT(DLC debacle); NRS could sustain 2 games. The new one would get 85% of resources and attention, but the competitive aspect that's been established this last year with ESL shouldn't be dropped from MKX just to move it to the new game. The Mortal Kombat brand is stronger than ever. If not a kombat pack and/or new balance patches, at least new skins and/or hot fixes until the next MK game. Look at the Injustice mobile game. It's been churning along with new skins and characters for 3 years now. That's impressive. They should continue using the MK mobile game to hand out skins and cards, even if the majority of people don't like it. It's a business, and the mobile games make them money.

I know people hate guest characters, but if you include a character from the upcoming game in the next kombat pack, people will get hype. Same thing with the new game; besides whatever guest character they have already settled on, an MK character should be on the DLC plans. It would also create hype if they plan another crossover at some point.

So, Kombat Pack 3 AND a new game. ;)

First I hope they end the balance works with MKX, not only about the new dlc chars, but there's also stuff among the other characters that still needs tweaks/fixes. After that, they should go for another game. I would like to see a new adventure game like shaolin monks, btw. That could be awesome here in the new generation of consoles.

I personally think it would be cool if they made a KP3 around the time injustice 2 is announced/released to keep MKXL alive.

But at the same time if not a KP then i still want them to support MKXL when the next game is released somehow.

KP3 would be nice. Give us Sindel, Noob, Fujin and Rain (characters that people asked for heavily).

But if KP3 does happen it'll look more like 2 guests (1 of which nobody asked for) +1 character fans asked for + 1 character people absolutely did not ask for that isn't even a top 10 choice).

I wouldn't mind kp3 but most likely we won't see any new kontent until we get a new game. Hopefully they will use unreal engine 4 the next time. The waiting will suck though cause I'm already hungry for more mk story and lore and we're not going to see a new mk until 2018 at the earliest.

I would take kp3 all day. I love MK and would love to see more MK characters in this game, it's just to good to stop now :(.........but it must have kabal! :D

I feel like this game is so good and addicting with all the motions and mechanics I feel like they should keep updating it with DLC and more story (since the base story is short). But this game is a really addicting game and I feel like in 3-4 years a new game would be nice.

There won't be a KP3. I don't think it's smart for NRS to race to kill their game. Ensuring the longevity of the game would go a hell of a lot further to helping the tournament scene for their games then a fucking skin. WB's bottom line isn't as nice though if they aren't cranking out a game every 2 years.

I care leas about Injustice 2 really. The first game was cool, but MK is my love. I like to see MKX become a platform until the next one. As far as the next game, I like to see a new Adventure game in MK universe. I want the Developers of Arkham series in charge of making a proper Superman game to wash the taste of Superman 64 away. That game gave us nightmares as kids.

Honestly I'm split because all the characters on my wishlist I would rather see in the main roster of a later game so that they would have the opportunity to play a role in the story mode. Characters like Shang Tsung, Havik, Fujin, Frost, Rain, and Noob.
