The most broken moves(Chars) in history of fighting games, list them here.

BlackViper415

TYM's Head Herpetologist
No mention of Brawl Meta Knight?
I was going to mention him. Tornado did everything. That move was literally so good that it transcended any degree of skill. There was no "git gud" because tornado had zero weaknesses. Not to mention his down smash, which came out in like 5 frames, hit on both sides, and had strong kill power. Being a Meta Knight player had only one drawback, you had a hard time choosing what your favorite option in any given situation was because all of them were so good. I don't know what they were thinking when they balanced that character.

But he was still my main. :DOGE

SVC Geese Howard massive damage, hidden super + meter combo + super, 200% waaaay too easy
KOF 02 yamazaki had like 4 different 100% combos with 3 bars
Samurai Shodown 4, modafokin zankuro, this one just pisses me off, it was ridiculous!! 3 hits!

Also, while no one can deny how stupid T4 Jin was, I think an argument could be made for T5 Steve being the most broke character in a Tekken game cuz you know, he had an infinite.

I try not to count infinites because so many characters have had them over the years that they're so easy to point to. To me it's like a glitch. Types of things that would be banned or patched right away in modern day. In early Tekken's almost everyone had 80-100% combos.

Core gameplay-wise no Tekken character holds a candle to the stupidity T4 Jin had lol.

MK9

Noob
Mk2 (I think revision 1.1). Able to do fatality freeze anytime and let clock run out

most broken thing in any fighting game ever, well maybe except for ivan ooze
Red Arremer
meter build, like 9 proyectiles, the zombie in the ground, 2 flying tacos, 3 air proyectiles that hit low, unblockable flying hits, fire ball proyectiles that explode and stun you, all at the same time

The Marvel one is sooooooooo off homie. Wesker was not that good in Vanilla (great and top tier but not compared to other characters, he was "fair" compared to them lol.

In vanilla: Phoenix was completely busted. Had too many air movements and there was no meter stealing moves in the entire game. Broken as all hell. Dante was stupid as fuck too, probably the best overall character in the game but not as broken as phoenix imo.

Emperor Eevee

Learn to take a joke pal!
Crow from Def Jam: Fight for New York was pretty stupid. And Meta Knight from Brawl literally was in God Tier by himself.

Phoenix and Wolverine were top 2 in that game. After that was probably Dante, Zero, and She-Hulk.

Wasn't viola head and shoulders above the rest of the cast in scv? Don't know why though
She had grab infinites and ToD combos(that were really really hard to do).

Aside from the grab infinites she wasn't broken, just kind of OP. Which sucks because she was the best concept for a character in that series in a long time.

She Hulk wasn't that good lol. Also, Dante was sleeper OP. If the game kept getting played he would have likely been number 1.
She-Hulk with Tron or Haggar assist was ridiculous. Incoming character basically got hit for free in the corner on top of the fact that she was extremely solid in neutral. Dante was crazy good, but Wolverine and Zero were fucked up.

No mention of the 4 gods of MvC2.

Sentinel
One of the heaviest, hardest hitting characters in the game, turned into its fastest character thanks to exploits (fly/unfly, fast fly).

Storm
Best runaway in the game thanks to air control. In MvC2, whoever has the higher ground in the air usually wins, air control means she can delay her fall and, even fly off the top corner of the screen and stay there to build meter. Additionally, she's also a great overall character, good movement thanks to 8 way airdash, damage, etc. means that she's great at both keepaway and rushdown.

Magneto
Very good movement, thanks again to 8 way airdash. Combined with a good assist (Psylocke) can continue to reset an opponent into death. You know the term "vortex"? The very genesis of that term came from Arturo's description of Yipes Magneto/Storm/Psylocke play - once he got you in the combo, he'd suck you back into the vortex. Magnus didn't even need to knock down, he could vortex you from nearly any position.

Cable
Probably the only character purposely designed to be top tier. Biggest advantage is AHVB (air hyper viper beam), by tiger kneeing his air hyper viper beam, you could perform it close to the ground and continue to combo it into itself. With 5 bars (pretty easy to come by) , Cable could kill a character off any single mistake from full screen.

The other thing to note is that these characters tended to have good synergy with each other. Most top tier teams e.g. MSP, Santhrax, Matrix (JWong's team), etc. had at least 2 gods plus 1 high tier.

But the real best team in the game, the one that by all rights should dominate other teams if not for the sheer execution requirement, surprisingly uses only 1 god tier - Strider/Doom/Sentinel aka Clockw0rk.

Run by SoCal legend Clockw0rk, the team specialized in one thing - lockdown. Once Strider popped orbs, the team could keep a character perpetually locked down in blockstun. This was the classic Mahvell trap - if you get caught and you just block, you die from chip, if you press any buttons, you eat a combo and die.

The only reason you don't see Strider/Doom more dominant is the fact that it takes absolute perfect play to pull it off, and only one player so far has been known to be able to do this - Clockw0rk.
Street Fighter 4
Cammy
Hahaha, you think this is a game? Imagine a Cammy that could do cannon spikes with no air restriction just like the ones she does when using meter, now imagine she jumping you to apply pressure and the easiest stun in the game.
Finally, someone else who realizes how much Cammy could have run the game if we stuck to Vanilla.
