Also, I think certain match ups aren't as bad as we think because even the slightest lag makes subtle maneuvering impossible and cuts wayyy down on reaction time making the fight exponentially tougher.

That being said, I'll agree to any match being bad for GL just so I can rake in the props later #kappa


EDIT: Regarding the characters in the OP that are under review:

Shazam gets bodied by GL

Flash used to get bodied, but after all his buffs GL only has slight advantage

Harley is even but must be played cleanly or you get scraped

Batgirl is slight disadvantage. You have options but must play extremely carefully

Zod is even or slight advantage GL. Lantern doesn't care much about slow Zod balls or even EX air zod ball. All of these you can hit him with a standing rocket and detonate it WELL before the zod balls get to you, even a trade is in your favor because he can't use it to safely get trait out. He beats Zod in footsies but he pretty much beats every character in footsies.

Lobo gets bodied by GL

Bane is slight advantage GL. If it weren't for Chaingun not counting as a projectile for some random reason it would be bad for Lantern.

Black Adam is even.

Doomsday is even. Don't count online games where earthshake is unblockable, he's at significant disadvantage after a blocked one.

Lex is unknown still

Raven I'd agree is at disadvantage. I don't mind it though because it's a fair fight

looks like MMH will be another annoying MU for GL, cant say if its bad or not yet but every MMH player ive ran into online uses him the same way they use Batgirl, the difference is he has a safe teleport (i know how to punish but with onine lag the timing is tough) -__-

It is but it pushes both back so the only think gl could punish with which is a poke is too far and b1 is 9 frames, however you can mb b3 on reaction for a punish. Also the good thing is it puts him right in GLs range so on block you can start b13 pressure, they must always block low after they teleport.
 
Ah ok. I still haven't been about to see him yet I just saw it was. Heard he's kinda weird as a character.

Only character I run into that feels like I am at a true disadvantage is bat girl. I used to get annoyed with cyborg and scorpion, but once in I found scorpion can be kept blocking without having any safe options out of basic pressure, it got easier. And cyborg no one really plays with anymore. Raven still doesn't feel all that bad to me, but its been a while since I played chemical_venom and because of that, I don't want to say full blown advantage. Will play him again at some point to review the matchup but I don't see em online that much anymore lol

I've played the match quite a bit with MF Slayer and I feel like it's slight GL advantage. She can't randomly airdash to get in because GL can just lift, so she has to play the footsies game, and GL LOVES that. Her damage is huge of course if she hits.

Even if you don't quite get the lift fast enough, BYOH d2 is just as effective, and will lead to meterless damage.

If you know the MMH will do overhead teleport, hold forward. You'll get a free d1/1 punish, since MMH will bounce back into you.

Also, I just learned exactly how stupid the Sinestro matchup is this past Thursday. Yeeeeeeahhh...I can see why that character is so nerfed compared to his beta form lol.

You know what matchup I hate? The mirror. All of GL's gimmicks work really well on himself. Punishing B13 xx Missiles is a super small window that's punishable on block. Backdashed B13 doesn't allow for a punish. He is his own weakness!
 
G.l mirrors are the worst way to figure out the better g.l, its the one who starts that loses. Every gimmick works on him. And unless it is joker asylum, or a pro zone stage, will is always greater than fear. Sinestro is weak to a lot of reset pressures, but he has a decent footsie string even when you get in. Expect to lose about 20% each time you get knocked back, and don't do turbine on a competent sinestro ever. Oa rocket only on well predicted trade. Air oa is ocassionally doable. The trouble comes when trait is up and he is exponently better than you for 3 shots.
 
Haven't been able to test due to work and other shit, but is it possible to lift punish mmh's overhead teleport on block?

No you can't, can only dash it right, or b13 machine gun check him on block. You also get a jump attack for pressure, but its only -8 on block
